Anonymous HIV Testing in BostonWalk-in, anonymous, rapid HIV testing is available in Davis Square, Somerville (at the Red Line T station) Using the Oraquick HIV-1 and HIV-2 Antibody Test, patients can get their results in 30 minutes. The Oraquick test requires only a simple finger prick.

Results are delivered in private, no questions asked, by a certified HIV counselor and virologist. No counseling is required, but any questions can be answered in private by the HIV counselor.

  • Walk-in hours are held on Fridays from 10AM to 2PM.
  • There is an $80 testing fee payable at the time of service by cash or money order (no credit cards accepted).
  • Davis Square Somerville is located on the red line approximately 20 minutes by T from Park Street, Boston.

The Testing Process

From start to finish, please plan approximately 45 minutes for the testing process.
  1. When you arrive at the testing laboratory, you will be given an information brochure about the Oraquick HIV Rapid test.
  2. Your blood sample will be taken with a simple finger stick in a private room.
  3. You will be given an anonymous ID number which will also be attached to your blood sample.
  4. You will then have the option to wait for 30 minutes in our waiting room, or to leave and return.
  5. After 30 minutes, you will be given your results in a private room from a certified HIV counselor and virologist.
